Paul is an Operating Partner focusing on enterprise companies. He currently serves as a board member at Stripes portfolio companies Dataiku, Legion, Paradox, and Spectro Cloud. Prior to joining Stripes, Paul served as President and Chief Revenue Officer of Anaplan, a leading SaaS platform to facilitate financial planning and management, where he saw the company grow from $80 million to $300+ million in Annual Recurring Revenue with over a $7 billion market cap and contributed to a successful IPO in 2018. Prior to Anaplan, Paul served as Global Vice President of Ariba and built the field organization for sales, implementation, service, alliances, and channels, ultimately leading to an acquisition for approximately $5 billion in 2012. Earlier in his career, Paul served as Executive Vice President of Global Accounts at SAP, helping it rise to a global leader in enterprise software. His group was responsible for over 85 percent of revenue in the Americas and a field organization of 1,000+ people. Currently, Paul is Chairman of the Board at R3, an enterprise blockchain technology company. He was previously an independent director at Scout RFP, a sourcing and procurement software company that was acquired by Workday (NASDAQ: WDAY). As the author of “Selling the Cloud: A Playbook for Success in Cloud Software and Enterprise Sales,” Paul interviewed 25+ year sales veterans who worked at enterprise-level software companies like Salesforce, Oracle, Cisco, Microsoft, IBM, Zoom, SAP, and DocuSign. The book charts their lessons learned to help modern salespeople thrive.
